Fi has launched the Fi Ultra, which the company describes as the first dog collar connected to Starlink's direct-to-cell satellite network. The pitch is straightforward: when a dog moves beyond normal cellular coverage, the tracker can use satellite-backed connectivity instead of relying only on the last LTE location.

For dog owners, that is the nightmare. Dogs slip collars on hikes, bolt from campgrounds, chase wildlife, get out of rural yards, or become separated during travel.
