Cybertruck production ramp & price - Entering the age of the Cybertruck

Initial reports and Elon Musk's statements from several years ago indicated a starting price of around US$40,000 for the Tesla Cybertruck. Tesla is reportedly assembling about 10 Cybertrucks per day with the help of manual labor to expedite the production process. This suggests that Tesla is actively working towards meeting the demand for the Cybertruck and ramping up production.

As for the distribution of early production units to Tesla centers around the country, it's possible that this strategy is aimed at generating excitement and promoting the vehicle among potential customers.

If reports are to be believed, it appears that Tesla's marketing team has reached out to individuals who are on the list for early deliveries of the "high-end" early builds of the Cybertruck. This suggests that Tesla is actively engaging with potential customers and allowing them to express their preferences regarding the dual- or tri-motor options for the vehicle.

The idea of an imminent launch event aligns with previous rumors and indicates that Tesla might be planning to officially unveil the Cybertruck in the near future. It's not uncommon for companies to involve their employees in such events, as they can serve as brand ambassadors and provide valuable feedback.

If reports are accurate, it seems that the first Cybertruck owners have been informed that the launch event will take place within the next 3 to 4 weeks. Assuming that invitations are being sent out this week, it implies that the Cybertruck release date could be in mid-September or shortly thereafter. This aligns with Elon Musk's previous promise during Tesla's Q1 investor call, where he mentioned a potential timeline for the Cybertruck release.

It's interesting to hear that Tesla referral credit owners now have the opportunity to reserve a spot for the Cybertruck launch event by using 30,000 credits. This indicates that Tesla is offering its loyal customers a chance to attend the event in person.

Additionally, it's worth noting that reports suggest the launch event will be streamed live from Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, TX. This allows a broader audience to witness the event remotely and experience the unveiling of the Cybertruck.

Debunking the Myth of Declining EV Demand: A Closer Look at Tesla's Unprecedented Growth

The article refutes the notion of declining Electric Vehicle (EV) demand, highlighting instead the robust sales and growth of Tesla in various global markets. It mentions how specific instances like Panasonic's reduced battery cell production are misleadingly used to suggest a broader demand issue. The article emphasizes Tesla's record-breaking sales, especially the Model Y becoming the world's best-selling car, as evidence of strong EV demand. It also contrasts Tesla's success with traditional automakers like Ford, who are reportedly facing demand issues, attributing this discrepancy to legacy automakers' reluctance to fully embrace the EV transition due to short-term financial concerns.
