FAQs
1. Are brake caliper covers safe? Will they affect braking performance?
EVBASE brake caliper covers are made from lightweight, heat-resistant aluminum alloy and are designed only as decorative and protective shells. They do not touch the brake pads or rotors and will not affect your braking performance, heat dissipation, or safety.
2. How are the caliper covers installed? Do I need to remove the wheels?
Our brake caliper protectors are designed for a quick, DIY-friendly installation. Simply jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel to access the caliper. A step-by-step video guide and installation manual are available to walk you through the process.
3. Do caliper covers help protect my brakes?
Yes. While mainly cosmetic, EVBASE covers also shield your calipers from road grime and brake dust, helping to keep them cleaner and easier to maintain.
4. Will the covers cause noise or come loose over time?
No. When installed correctly with the supplied clips, the covers stay firmly in place without rattling or interfering with the brake components.
5. Are the caliper protectors heat-resistant?
Yes. They’re built from materials rated for high temperatures typically encountered during normal driving, so they will not warp or discolor easily.
