I am using an Enhance Auto Commander and S3XY Knob. One feature of these is the ability to display the speed, charge, amount of regen, turn signals, and most importantly, blind spot warnings, on your phone. I needed a good way to mount the phone so I could see it through the steering wheel spokes. I tried another company's product but it didn't charge the phone, blocked some vents, and was flimsy. Then I found this phone mount and ordered it. I am totally impressed. It holds the phone securely. It charges the phone. The phone is visible through the steering wheel spokes. It looks cool. I love it. A couple of mounting tips. EVBASE says to let the 3M glue dry for 24 hours before using the phone mount. Being extra conservative, I waited 48 hours. Make sure to install the phone mount with the steering wheel fully retracted. This is important as the wheel retracts when Easy Entry is activated. I left about an eighth of an inch between the back of the mount and the EVBASE carbon fiber dashboard cover. I routed the wire per the video with one twist. I have a Cigarette Lighter Adapter & Splitter with 150W 3-Sockets and USB charging in the center console. I routed the cable from the phone mount into the glove box and plugged into a USB splitter plugged into the cigarette lighter adapter. This is cleaner, hides the wire, and leaves both of the rear USB-C jacks available for passengers. The wire is not crushed. After driving with it for three days and seeing how well it works and how stable it holds my phone, I highly recommend this product.
Mount grips the base as well as the phone very well. While mounting, make sure you mount when the steering is retracted. I made the mistake of mounting when the steering was extended. Then when it retracted, it hit the back and came off. Also when mounting turn your steering wheel both ways with your phone on to make sure it doesn't contact the phone. I made that mistake also. After rectifying these, the mount stayed put solid. One suggestion - Please change the shiny copper surface to something plain and non reflective. The gadget will look much more classy.
