FAQs

1. The adapter is rated for 1000V, but the power is only 250kW?
The adapter supports up to 1000V voltage and 500A current, with a maximum power capacity of 500kW.

2. How many thermal sensors (to prevent overload) are in the unit?
There are 2 temperature sensors. When the temperature is 185°F, it will automatically cut off 50% of the current. Once the temperature drops below 185°F, full charging current will resume. When the temperature exceeds 194°F the charging will be disconnected.

3. Are there any other safety features?

The product is designed and manufactured in compliance with American UL laboratory standard ANSI/CAN/UL 2252:2025

4. Please list the type of material?
The flame retardant grade is UL94V-0, the plastic material is made of fireproof VO grade PC material, and the melting temperature is close to 392°F.

5. When the CCS1 side is locked to the vehicle, will the Tesla NACS side also be locked?
Yes. Once the CCS1 connector is securely locked into the vehicle’s charge port, the Tesla NACS side of the adapter will also be electronically locked by the vehicle. This ensures a safe and stable connection during charging, preventing accidental disconnection.
